Vacation for teens and grandfather?

My father-in-law wants to take my kids (17 and 12) somewhere in August, which is great, because we already have something planned. We are thinking about Boston or a cruise. If it's a cruise, it has to be out of SC (closet to us). They have already been to Hershey Park, Atlanta, Georgia, and NYC with him. What are some other vacation location ideas?
