How rude can a person be?

I recently asked a person what's their likes and dislikes about living in Atlanta? Their reply was "no, no demand for that." I found that to be rude. It's not like I asked this person for their address nor did I demand anything. I'm not a stalker. I was just curious because people make a big deal about ATL. Thanks
